HEARTSAVER CPR/AED
with BLENDED FIRST AID
Duration: approximately 4.0 hours
Before class, participants complete the AHA Heartsaver First Aid online course at their own pace through the American Heart Association. Participants purchase the online course separately from the American Heart Association LINK (LINK TO ONLINE COURSE) ($19.50). During the in-person session, participants complete the full instructor-led CPR/AED training and then practice and demonstrate the required First Aid skills with a Lifeline Rescue instructor. This blended format provides complete First Aid/CPR/AED training while reducing classroom time.

Ideal for anyone who needs complete First Aid/CPR/AED training with greater scheduling flexibility. This option reduces classroom time and time away from other responsibilities while still providing the benefit of instructor-led, hands-on training to practice skills, ask questions, and receive feedback.
HOW IT WORKS/WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
- Complete the self-paced AHA Heartsaver First Aid online course before attending training and bring a printed copy of the online course completion certificate to the in-person session
- Attend the full instructor-led AHA Heartsaver CPR/AED course
- Complete the required hands-on First Aid skills session, which includes practicing bleeding control, epinephrine, and naloxone (Narcan) administration

The STOP THE BLEED® course provides clear, step-by-step instruction on recognizing life-threatening bleeding and taking immediate action before EMS arrives. Developed from lessons learned during the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and influenced by the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy, the program was launched nationally in 2015. Participants learn simple, proven techniques to control severe bleeding and potentially save a life.

STOP THE BLEED® is open to anyone who wants to be prepared to respond to a life-threatening bleeding emergency. This training is especially valuable for individuals, families, first responders, healthcare professionals, teachers, and workplace employees who may need to act quickly at home, at work, or in public settings.
