Q: Who do you provide CPR and First Aid training for?
We have provided training to a diverse range of groups throughout the Lehigh Valley, including houses of worship, police and fire departments, EMS agencies, local government staff, corporate safety teams, school teachers and students, and individuals. We will train anyone interested in learning how to improve the chances of survival for someone in need of help.
Q: Which CPR and First Aid program do you teach ?
Our instructors are certified by the American Heart Association and teach Heartsaver and BLS for Providers courses. We are aligned with the St. Luke's Health Network, which is a registered American Heart Association Training Center.
Q: Who should take a CPR or First Aid course?
Anyone who might need to respond in an emergency should consider obtaining CPR and First Aid training. This includes parents, grandparents, babysitters, teachers, coaches, workplace safety teams, and healthcare professionals. Many employers, childcare centers, and licensing authorities require staff to have documented CPR and First Aid certification.
Q: How long does CPR and First Aid certification last?
American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR and First Aid, along with BLS for providers, certifications are valid for 2 years. It is advisable to schedule renewal training before your certification expires to preserve your skills and ensure compliance with workplace or state regulations.
Q: How long is a typical CPR and First Aid class?
A standard American Heart Association CPR class (excluding first aid) takes 3 to 4 hours, while the first aid course lasts about 1.5 to 2 hours. Duration may vary depending on class size and participants' skill levels.
Q: Can you provide training at our facility?
We can bring CPR, AED, First Aid, BLS, and Stop the Bleed training to your location, eliminating the need to travel and customizing the program to your environment. We can also host classes at our Bethlehem facility.
Q: How many people can you train in one CPR or First Aid session?
Class sizes depend on the course type and room capacity, but typically we recommend groups of 9 to 18 participants. This range ensures everyone has sufficient hands-on practice to learn effectively. For larger organizations, we can schedule multiple sessions to train all members efficiently.
Q: Who should take a Stop the Bleed or bleeding control class?
In today's world, everyone, especially teachers, office staff, security, volunteers, event teams, and public safety personnel, benefits from adding bleeding control to CPR and First Aid to boost emergency preparedness.
Q: How long does a Stop the Bleed class take?
Our Stop the Bleed classes last between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on the class size and the amount of hands-on practice required for participants to become proficient.
